About
These stories were not written to comfort you. They were written because the truth of women — our desires, our mistakes, our reckonings, our becoming — deserves more than a tidy resolution and a hand to hold at the end of it.
Sometimes love looks like leaving. Sometimes it looks like staying in a way you never allowed yourself to before. Sometimes it arrives in the form of a stranger, a Wednesday, a mailbox, a letter never sent. Sometimes it doesn't arrive at all — and still, something is freed.
The Ending That Freed Her is a collection of short fiction about women at the edge of something. Not a cliff. Not a beginning exactly. Just that charged, impossible moment before a woman becomes what she was always going to be.
Each story stands alone. Each one ends where it needs to. None of them apologize for it.
